Is held on the first Saturday of every month from 10am to 12Noon

The Ampfield Market.

The Ampfield Market is now in its tenth year. It takes place on the first Saturday of the month in the Village Hall between 10am and 12 noon, excluding January, February, July and August. which are holiday months.

The Market has gained a great reputation and every effort is made to ensure that the sales tables are varied and display top quality, good value items including Fairtrade and fresh foods, cakes, bread, preserves, plants, books and a wide range of crafts. To date we have raised £11,200 and all proceeds go to Village Hall funds which help to provide a great local venue for all our community activities.

We have worked very hard to create a welcoming, happy and relaxed atmosphere in our Market. The refreshments are freshly produced, generously donated and served between 10 and 12 by a wonderful team of volunteers without whose help the Market would cease to function. Why don't you make a date to meet friends and sample our hospitality for yourselves. We return after our Summer break on September 4th and we would love to see you there !

Parking is plentiful and admission is free.

The dates for 2011 are March 5th, April 2nd, May 7th, June 4th, Sept 3rd, Oct 1st, Nov 5th, Dec 3rd.

The Swap Room

The Swap Room will take place as part of the Market every month from 10.00am - 12.00pm

You can bring up to 5 items to swap. ( e.g. plants, tools, vegetables, wood, DIY items, household items.) You can also swap skills. (e.g. babysitting, gardening, baking, cleaning, petsitting, decorating, plant watering.)

There is no charge for taking part.

For large items bring a photograph and/or a description. The items must be clean and in good (working) condition. All items must be removed by the end of the morning, swapped or unswapped.

No money will change hands.

There will also be a 'wish list' board where you will be able to post your wished for items.
