Pound Lane will be closed to traffic from 10pm on Monday 4th December until 6am on Friday 8th December for National Rail infrastructure works.

There will also be two way traffic lights from Thursday 7th to Saturday 9th for Hampshire County Council gully cleansing works.

We don't know what will happen in the period of overlap between these two works, that is, whether Pound Lane will be open or not.

We hope that the gully cleansing works may reduce the incidence of flooding under the railway bridge. The Parish Council will arrange for the ditches to be cleared on the Ampfield side of the bridge, but it really needs more significant works to prevent the flooding.
