This information on registering to vote in forthcoming elections comes from Test Valley Borough Council's electoral team:

The requirement for electors to show acceptable photographic Voter ID at polling stations was introduced in May 2023 for all elections in England. On Thursday 2 May 2024, elections will be held for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Police and Crime Commissioner, and electors will once again be required to show ID in order to be issued with a ballot paper when voting in person. More information about the elections in May can be found on our website at https://www.testvalley.gov.uk/aboutyourcouncil/localdemocracy/elections/pcc2024, including registration and absent voting deadlines. Poll cards are due to be despatched the week commencing 25 March.

See accompanying poster for details about where to find out more information on Voter ID and registering to vote, and how to apply for a postal vote or a proxy vote online. Please note that if someone is unable to apply online, they are still able to complete a paper application form if they wish: Test Valley Borough Council can arrange to send one to them in the post.

Contact Test Valley Borough Council on 01264 368000 or see their website at the link above.
